A familiar person in the house, every day
Live-in companion care in Atlanta
A CrossleyCare live-in companion lives in your loved one's guest quarters and works a set 8-hour day. One caregiver, for years, so your loved one is never living with a stranger.
What it is
Live-in companion care is for an older adult who is mostly independent but would be happier and safer with a steady person in the home. The caregiver lives in private guest quarters, works a set 8-hour day on a schedule agreed in writing, and becomes part of the rhythm of the house.
What the caregiver helps with
- Companionship, conversation, and simply being there
- Getting up, dressed, and ready for the day
- Preparing meals and keeping the kitchen tidy
- Laundry and light tidying of your loved one's own living space
- Keeping up with routines, hobbies, and appointments
Exact duties are agreed in writing before care begins.
What your home needs
- Private guest quarters: a guest suite, apartment, or guest house, or a spare bedroom with its own bathroom
- Respect for the caregiver's off-duty hours, even though they live on site
- A plan for the caregiver's vacation and sick days, which the family arranges
What it isn't
- Not 24-hour care. Outside the set 8-hour day, the caregiver is off duty.
- Not medical or nursing care
- Not short-term. We work with families for years.
- No substitute caregivers. We do not send backup cover.
Is it right for you?
Live-in care tends to suit families when
- Your loved one lives in a larger home, often alone, and has room for private guest quarters
- They are mostly independent, and a little lonely
- You want one person who truly knows them, not a schedule of different faces
- You can comfortably afford full-time private care for years

See if we're a good fit
A few friendly questions, about three minutes. You'll get an honest answer right away. If it looks like a fit, a member of our family will follow up, usually the same business day.
