From first question to first morning

How in-home care with CrossleyCare works

Every step is personal. You deal with a member of the Crossley family from the first conversation, and nothing is decided until you have met your caregiver.

Six steps, at your pace

  1. The fit check

A few friendly questions online, about three minutes. You get an honest answer right away about whether we are likely a good fit.

  2. A conversation with our family

We aim to reach out the same business day. We listen, answer your questions, and go over pricing. No pressure, and no scripts.

  3. A visit at home

We meet your loved one, get a feel for their day, and see the home, including the guest quarters for live-in care.

  4. Matching one caregiver

We introduce a caregiver we believe fits your loved one's personality and routine. You and your loved one meet them before anything is decided.

  5. A clear agreement

Everything is in writing: duties, schedule, live-in terms if any, how vacation and sick days are handled, billing, and how either side can end the arrangement.

  6. The first weeks, and the years after

Your caregiver starts, and we check in with you regularly, especially early on. We stay involved for as long as we care for your family.

Vacation and sick days

One caregiver means planning for days off

We do not send substitute caregivers. When your caregiver takes vacation or is out sick, the family arranges cover for those days.

We say this up front because it matters. Large agencies can send someone new at short notice because they rotate many caregivers through many homes. We do the opposite. One trusted person, treated well, who stays for years.

Before care begins, we help you think through a simple plan: a family member, a trusted friend, or an hourly agency you can call on for those days.

About pricing

We do not publish prices. Every arrangement is set up for one family, and we go over pricing on the first call.

CrossleyCare is full-time, private-pay care that usually lasts for years. We only take it on when it is comfortable for the family, because the caregiver is counting on it too.

The fit check

See if we're a good fit

A few friendly questions, about three minutes. You'll get an honest answer right away. If it looks like a fit, a member of our family will follow up, usually the same business day.
