In-home care in metro Atlanta · Family-run

Long-term in-home care in Atlanta, with one steady caregiver.

CrossleyCare helps families keep a loved one at home with one consistent caregiver they can count on every day: someone steady and trusted. That is not something families can simply go out and get, even when they can afford it.

Family-owned and run by the Crossley family. Live-in companion and weekday care across metro Atlanta. Non-medical, long-term care only.

Two ways we help

Full-time care, with one caregiver

Both arrangements are long term, non-medical, and built around the same person showing up for your family every scheduled day.

Option one

Live-in companion

Your caregiver lives in your loved one's guest quarters and works a set 8-hour day. A familiar, kind person in the house, every day.

  • Lives in private guest quarters
  • Works a set 8-hour day, agreed in writing
  • Off duty outside those hours. This is not 24-hour care.

Option two

Weekday care

40 hours a week, Monday to Friday, with the same caregiver every day. They go home each evening.

  • The same caregiver every weekday
  • Daily hours set together with you
  • No guest quarters needed

Already a CrossleyCare family? Weekend care can be added as an option, 16 or 24 hours a weekend.

Why one caregiver matters

Three clients in seventeen years

That is the career of the caregiver in our family, who has done this work her whole working life.

Her clients did not have a revolving door of new faces. They had her, for years. That is the kind of care CrossleyCare is built to provide.

So we look for career caregivers, pay them above the market rate, and keep each one with a single family. Good caregivers stay when they are treated well, and families feel the difference every day.

About our caregivers

Honest about what we are

We are right for some families, not all

We would rather tell you now than waste your time. Here is what CrossleyCare is, and what it isn't.

CrossleyCare is

  • Long term, usually for years
  • One caregiver, the same person every scheduled day
  • Companionship and help with daily living
  • For older adults who are mostly independent
  • Private pay, for families who can comfortably afford it for years

CrossleyCare isn't

  • 24-hour or overnight care
  • Medical or nursing care
  • Short-term, recovery, or fill-in shifts
  • Part-time or occasional visits
  • A backup service: the family arranges cover for the caregiver's vacation and sick days

Who we're right for, and where to look if we're not

How it works

Simple, personal, unhurried

  1. Fit check

A few friendly questions online, about three minutes.

  2. A conversation

A member of our family calls you, usually the same business day.

  3. We visit

We meet your loved one at home and see the space.

  4. Your caregiver

We introduce one caregiver we think fits. You meet before anything is decided.

Common questions

Quick answers

Do you offer 24-hour care?

No. We do not offer 24-hour or overnight care. Even a live-in companion works a set 8-hour day and is off duty the rest of the time. If your loved one needs someone awake and available around the clock, a 24-hour home care agency or an assisted living community is likely a better fit.

Does a live-in caregiver work 24 hours a day?

No. A CrossleyCare live-in companion works a set 8-hour day on a schedule agreed in writing. Outside those hours they are off duty, even though they live on site. Live-in care with us is not 24-hour care.

What happens when the caregiver is sick or on vacation?

We do not send a substitute. When your caregiver takes vacation or is out sick, the family arranges cover for those days. We say this up front and put it in our agreement. It is part of what keeps the arrangement steady: one trusted person, not a rotating team of strangers. Before care starts, we help you think through a plan, such as a family member or a trusted person you can call on.

How much does CrossleyCare cost?

We do not publish pricing. Every arrangement is set up for one family, and we share pricing on the first call. CrossleyCare is full-time, private-pay care that usually lasts for years, so it is designed for families who can comfortably afford it for the long term. We would rather not take on a family for whom it would be a financial stretch.
